Worn Again Launch new RE:Made bag

(published Tue 09 Mar 2010)

Thursday (4th March) saw the launch of the latest of Worn Again’s ingenious innovations, a new Eurostar Train Manager’s bag. Made entirely from redundant Eurostar uniforms and seat covers, Worn Again have managed something virtually no other UK company has achieved before, closed loop upcycling of decommissioned corporate textile, to a high value product for use by the corporation generating the textile in the first place! The Train Manager’s bag, devised by award winning Designer Benjamin Shine, will be used by Eurostar Managers travelling between London, Paris and Brussels.

The bag is part of RE:Made in the UK, an ongoing project aiming to divert textiles from landfill whilst reanimating UK remanufacturing - see our latest case study - follow the link at the base of the page, discussing some of the other stylish upcycled products and background to the scheme.
