Our Services

Taking the first steps to Circularity through your corporate wear creates great environmental and socially responsible stories for your organisation. At the same time, it shows your staff and customers that you are truly committed to the Circular Economy. We offer a range of services tailored to your needs across the life of corporate uniforms - in design, production, wear and after use.

Whether you're a small or large organisation, simply needing secure safe disposal or looking to donate your uniforms to a charitable cause, or taking first steps in changing the way you dispose of your old uniforms, then the team at Uniform Reuse can help. We characterise and measure your uniform waste to evaluate the most appropriate steps to take.

We know it's hard to find a single solution for disposing of your old uniforms in the best environmental and socially responsible way. We recommend a multi-step approach, but it requires effective organisation, labelling and sorting of uniforms to ensure the most value is achieved. Our role is to work with you to make this process as straightforward as possible, minimising avoidable waste and inappropriate treatment, but maximising value to your organisation.

Your uniforms could be contaminated or you may have security concerns and are looking for a secure disposal service.

Step 1 partners you with a safe, secure shredding service for your old uniforms.

Shredding and disposing is our entry level option, usually reserved for hard-to-manage textiles. We believe you're looking for better environmental and socially creative options so we suggest you skip this step and move to step 2 onwards.

If you believe this is the only option for you, click here to send us an enquiry.

You're a company looking to move away from shredding and disposing, but may still have concerns about garment security. If you use 100% polyester garments, we have routes to process them into liquid fuels.

Step 2 takes your 100% polyester through a chemical fibre-to-fuel treatment thus removing any concerns you may have around security and branding.

We will partner you with a commercial service which will carry this out safely and securely.

Whether you have blends or single fibre fabrics, recycling could be for you. Two forms of recycling exist for textiles: mechanical or chemical.

Step 3 determines viable mechanical and chemical recycling routes for your old uniforms, whether this is shredding into rags/wiper grade material or chemical PET recycling.

We will partner you with recycling organisations who have the capability to take whatever quantities of old uniforms you have.

You would like to preserve the value in your old uniforms and find creative ways to use the materials. Upcycling works to create new products from old uniforms and keep valuable materials in use for a 'second life'.

Step 4 works to create new products from the material of your old uniforms, for example a device holder from your sturdy work trousers or bags from suiting. These can be used within your organisation (reducing the purchase of new items) or sold back to customers and staff.

We can help with designs, patterns, specifications and production facilities to make this a reality.

You would like to see your uniforms go intact to a socially responsible cause; we can make that happen.

Step 5 identifies which of your old uniforms can be de-branded and locates reuse markets where these garments can be used again. This could be to charities supporting the unemployed with clothing for job interviews or providing clothing for the homeless.

We will identify suitable reuse markets and organisations to take your old, de-branded uniforms and give them a 'second life'.

You would like to create garments which, by design, last longer and have better environmental options when it comes to disposal. Gaining EU Ecolabel accreditation on your future uniforms proves your organisation takes environ-mental impacts seriously, with benefits to your public profile.

Step 6 analyses in detail your current uniforms, presents opportunities for savings and more Circular options e.g. alternative fabric choice, garment construction methods or logo applied.

We will help you to re-engineer your uniforms to create products which last longer and achieve Circularity through their life. We also offer the opportunity to have your redesigned uniforms assessed through the EU Ecolabel accreditation scheme to prove your credentials.
